2021: Personal Growth & Health Challenge - Day Two

Thank you for your kind response to my entry from yesterday, as I document my personal quest to better myself physically and mentally, and to improve my surroundings. I loved reading your responses here and on Gab and I hope that we keep building a little club of people who are willing to put in the work each day to better ourselves, bit by bit, brick by brick.


To make sure I'm managing my time well, and to keep myself from building up tasks in my head to the point where I don't do them, I'm setting a timer for 15 minute intervals and tackling as much as I can in that 15 minutes and then allowing myself to return to my research and other work.



Compartmentalizing helps me a lot, and I actually find myself planning out what I'm going to work on in the next 15 minutes as I'm working and when I'm organizing and cleaning, I'm planning out what I'm going to work on in my research. It's working very well for me. If you struggle with procrastinating, I hope it does for you too!


As a reminder, here are a few of my new goals for this year:

  1. I want to slowly declutter and reorganize my house, doing a little bit a day.

  2. I want to get back down to the weight I was at the beginning of 2020.

  3. I want to get fit.

Today's Goals Are:

  • Clean off my kitchen countertops completely and put away all the random things that accumulate on the upper counter and clean off my kitchen table.

  • Cook all my meals at home.

  • 6 female-style push-ups and 6 sit-ups.

Tomorrow's Goals Are:

  • Cleaning out my fridge and freezer.

  • Cleaning the top of my fridge.

  • Cleaning off my entry way table and setting a goal to keep it clear from accumulating random stuff. Before bed, I am now going to check the entry table as well as my kitchen counters and kitchen table (that I cleared yesterday) and take anything that might have found its way to those flat surfaces and either throw them away or put them in their proper space.

  • 6 female-style push-ups and 8 sit-ups.

Let me know how you do! One day at a time guys. That's all we can do! The best way to take care of others is to take care of yourself. A little bit every day will make the difference. I'm not looking to change my whole life overnight. I'm looking to create good habits that will last me a lifetime.
